The Doctor and Therapists

Dr. Mark Zuber, D.C.

Dr. Zuber was born in San Diego, California and moved to Richardson, Texas as a child. He received his Bachelors in Anatomy from Texas A&M University and his Doctorate from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas. Mark has been married for 15 years to his lovely wife Tamra, and they have a 11 year old boy named Aidan who is the apple of their eye and a much loved and treasured 19 year old Goddaughter named Jasmin. Dr. Z has a thriving Sports Rehab & Family Practice in Frisco, Texas.

His treatment focus includes restoring biomechanical integrity, soft tissue mobility, and enhancing performance. He emphasizes soft tissue methods including myofascial release, ART (Active Release Technique) and problematic extremities. His adjustment techniques include diversified with flexion/distraction, with a heavy emphasis on extremities. Every patient’s treatment is tailored to their specific needs and can include other techniques such as Thompson, Activator, Gonstead, Kinesiotaping, Foam Roller, Corrective Exercise and Preventative Techniques. Dr. Z also spends much of his time teaching kids as this is a true calling and passion for him. He stays on the cutting edge of his field and has extensive experience as a public speaker in many arenas. Most recently, he was the lead speaker for several years in a seminar series for Texas Provider Resource; which is a company he created to provide seminars and state approved continuing education for doctors and attorneys.

The primary focus was to help them with billing and compliance issues and also learn to be advocates for their patients. Mark is a Black Belt in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and American Kenpo Karate, and he actively fills an Instructor role in both kids and adults classes in Jiu-Jitsu. Mark also still competes actively in Jiu-Jitsu and is a multi-time medalist at the US Open (White Belt, Blue Belt, Purple Belt placements) and also a multi-time medalist at the Pan American Games in the Purple Belt and Brown Belt divisions). During the last three years, Dr. Z is a 2x Silver Medalist at NoGi Worlds in the Black Belt Division and he brought home the Bronze at NoGi Worlds this past year in 2013.

While all of this keeps him busy and makes him happy, his true fulfillment comes from spending time with his family. He and his wife Tamra have been serving together in the kid’s ministry for their church for the past 7 years and they both actively coach their son’s little league teams together in both Basketball and Baseball. Mark coaches his son in Jiu-Jitsu as well. Spending time with kids, learning what makes them happy, makes them tick, helping shape their minds and direct their paths in a positive manner…these are the things that make him truly happy.

After spending so much time talking with kids and hearing first-hand how Bullying has adversely affected their lives, Mark decided something had to be done to be able to properly reach the kids on their level. The kid’s cries for help were heard and The Bully Task Force was born and put into motion. (www.BullyTaskForce.com) The response has been phenomenal and the results exactly what they hoped for…BTF is helping kids make a real difference and learn to Bullyproof their lives. In addition to their work with The Bully Task Force, the Zubers together with their best friends, opened Elevated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & MMA in Prosper, TX in March 2014….where people of all walks of life, no matter their experience, can come to Elevate Their Thinking, Elevated Their Life and Elevate Their Game (www.ElevatedBJJ.com) Dr. Zuber is delighted to continue teaching MMA in his own gym with a Faith based leadership curriculum.
